Lipido-colloid antibacterial contact layer

Description 

 

Sterile non-occlusive, non-adhesive, antibacterial lipido-colloid contact layer (issued from the Lipido-Colloid Technology, exclusive patented innovation by Laboratoires Urgo).

Urgotul® SSD/S.Ag is a lipido-colloid dressing made of a polyester mesh impregnated with hydrocolloid particles (carboxymethylcellulose), vaseline particles and silver sulphadiazine.

 

Properties

  • Antibacterial efficacy on a large spectrum of bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus, MRSA (Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus), Pseudomonas aeruginosa
  • Healing in a moist environment
  • Painless and atraumatic removal
  • Very well-tolerated
  • Very low risk of maceration

 

Indications

Local treatment of low to moderate exuding acute wounds (burns, skin abrasions, traumatic wounds…) and chronic wounds (leg ulcers, pressure ulcers…) at risk of infection.

 

Method of use

  • Cover with pad and bandage
  • Renewal every 1 to 2 days
